SAE COVID-19 Update: Online Learning
Dear SAE Community,
The School of Arts and Enterprise is aware of the rapid change of the status regarding COVID-19, the Coronavirus, throughout the world, the country, and The State of California. It is vital to us to respond effectively to this pandemic, and work to ensure the health and safety of The SAE Community.
The President of The United States, The Governor of California, and The Board of The School of Arts and Enterprise have declared a State of Emergency. There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at The SAE, however, this declaration from The Board will ensure that our leadership has the ability to make the needed decisions in favor of our school community.
The School of Arts and Enterprise will move to an online learning model, beginning this Tuesday, March 17th, through Friday, May 1st, following the direction of The LA County Board of Education. Students will work each day through Google Classroom to complete assignments from home. If your child does not have access to the internet outside of school, please contact the Main Campus directly, at (909) 622-0699. As a reminder, Spring Break, is March 30th through April 3rd.
For questions regarding special education services, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the main office and ask for Mr Tree.
Students who participate in the School Lunch Program can continue to receive a student meal from The SAE. It is our commitment to continue feeding our students. School meals (to-go meals) will be available for all students on The Middle School Campus, at 375 S. Main Street, from 10 AM - 12 PM, beginning Tuesday, March 17th, and ending Friday, March 27th.
This decision was not approached lightly, rather, with the larger needs of The SAE Community in mind, and we understand that this decision can be challenging for our families. Please understand that this decision was made to fill our responsibility in mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
More information will be sent in the coming days through ParentSquare regarding instructional resources to use during this time away from campus, as well as updated information about the school's response to COVID-19. If you need to update your email or cell phone number, please email, Attendance@thesae.k12.ca.us, or text the following number, 860-468-5580.
Thank you for your support.
